JZ Holdings Inc. is a real-estate holding company owned in equal thirds by three members of the Paulin family. It sits alongside our other Renfrew-based businesses — Mikron Woodworking Machinery, Mikron Barn Door, and JZ Trim & Doors — and holds the properties that support our long-term interests in the Ottawa Valley and Eastern Ontario.
The company was formed to bring shape and discipline to what we already were doing: buying good buildings in towns we know, keeping them in careful hands, and holding them for the long term. Decisions are made together, at the kitchen table more often than in a boardroom.

Jeremie Paulin
Jeremie has run the family's Renfrew manufacturing operation since 1998, when he and Lynn took it over and grew it from roughly $300,000 in sales to $3 million inside a year. He became president in 2007, weathered the 2008 downturn, and rebuilt the business by adding an interior-finishings lane that became JZ Trim & Doors. Today he leads Mikron Woodworking Machinery, Mikron Barn Door, and JZ Trim & Doors from the same Renfrew shop, and — through Commit to Successes — works alongside a small number of other established owners on the operating decisions that turn a portfolio into a business. At JZ Holdings he sets direction and holds decision authority across the family's real-estate interests.

Vice President
Zach Paulin
Zach graduated from Georgian College's three-year business administration program during the pandemic. After a couple of years working outside the family business, he came back into the fold — first owning and operating his own social-media marketing company, and then transitioning into operations at JZ Trim & Doors and JZ Holdings. At 26 he already owns his home. Today he manages digital across the family brands, pressure-tests property opportunities at JZ Holdings, and represents the next generation of the family's operating interests.

Lynn Arbuthnot
Lynn ran her own women's retail store for five to six years before moving into corporate operations, first in Alberta and then in Toronto, where she and Jeremie met working for the same company. They married in 1996, moved to Renfrew in 1998, and joined the family manufacturing operation together. Lynn served as director and ran the day-to-day of Mikron in the early years, with Jeremie's support — building the dealer network, owning the marketing, and driving the growth that took the business from roughly $300,000 to $3 million inside twelve months. When her illness forced her out of that role, she stepped back from the front line and Jeremie took over as president. Today she keeps the books and records across the family businesses and serves as secretary of JZ Holdings — the quiet backbone the rest of the operation runs on.

Development

JZ Development Inc. is the development arm of JZ Holdings. It exists to carry projects out on land JZ Holdings already owns in the Ottawa Valley, with the same long-horizon, family-run temperament as the rest of the company.
Our first project is a seniors-care and palliative-care community on JZ Holdings-owned land in Renfrew. The intent is a small, purpose-built residence for older adults from the Ottawa Valley — the kind of place families in this town would want their own parents to be — planned in careful partnership with operators, clinicians, and the community. The work is early. There is no formal offering, no timeline being promoted, and no capital being raised through this website.
